Brazil Meeting Poster

Students will earn 6 SES credits while studying the Brazilian cultural influence on physical activity and sport. The course is open to both Graduate and Undergraduate students. Students will spend 2 weeks in Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro observing and participating in various forms of sport and physical activity including soccer matches, Brazilian dance, Capoeira, and more. Students will gain an understanding of the cultural and historical influences on Brazilian sport, the structure and organization of sport in Brazil, and the role of physical activity within Brazilian society.

Steneck Named Intensive English Language Coordinator

The Center for International Education is pleased to announce that Elaine Honstein Steneck has been appointed Coordinator for the Intensive English Language Program at UNC. Elaine earned both BA and MA degrees in English from UNC and taught in the English Department for four years prior to joint the IELP in January of 2006. She is currently working toward a second MA in Teaching English as a Second Language at CSU.

Elaine is available to talk with faculty or departments enrolling international students and who may have questions or concerns regarding working well with them.

International Ambassador Program

This program will connect you with an international student at UNC.

You will be their designated American Ambassador and show them how to thrive at UNC and in Greeley.

This may include a weekly yoga date, dancing at Cactus Canyon, or attending International Film Series.
